Let us extend to you a warm welcome to The St. Clare Pastoral Center, located in Lynden, Washington. We offer a welcoming atmosphere committed to inclusiveness, peace and justice, and the sanctity of all creation. The Pastoral Center is chartered by The American Catholic Church in the United States (ACCUS), and serves the Pacific Northwest Corner region of Washington State. We are under the jurisdiction of The Most Reverend William A. Johnson, D.D. our Presiding Archbishop.
Although we are one of many in the Catholic family of churches with valid orders and apostolic succession, we are independent of the Roman Catholic Church, and therefore not subject to the same rules and regulations. This allows us to be more pastoral in our outreach, and reject any artificial barriers to the reception of the Sacraments based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or marital status. We reach out to those who may have been hurt, felt alienated or marginalized by their prior experience with mainstream faith traditions. All are welcome here!
